Organic food, pesticides and the credit crunch …

I’ve always been skeptical of organic food. Not because I don’t think it’s generally better for us, the soil and wildlife. I worry that it gives the consumer the wrong impression of environmentalism – that… Continue

It's all rubbish and expensive …

It is said, that we brits live very wasteful lives compared to other countries. Our carbon footprint is pretty excessive, water usage criminal … and our generation of rubbish equally worrying. We’ve definitely b…

We're working to make the site better - so excuse the mess for the moment

In order to upgrade the site, we've had to change the servers, which means everything's all topsy turvy at the moment.

We thought this was going to happen next week - but it's happened now! This means our super duper techy guy is away on holiday. In the words of four wed…

Electric cars - for better or for worse?

It's crazy if you think about it. To get from A to B in our cars we have to get petrol in the tank. That means searching for oil, drilling for it, extracting it, transporting it, refining it, transport…

What’s cooking with Project Dirt’s homepage?

We’ve changed the homepage. Why …? The last one was a bit complicated, didn’t have enough nice pictures … it wasn’t personal enough. So – it’s now about chatty blogs, pretty pictures and gettin…

A central location. Maybe at a farm or community centre somewhere

Hi Mark

The map is excellent but, and this only the most miniscule point, would you mind moving the TT Wandsworth icon just a bit further north so that it rests on Trinity Rd next to the roundabout - east of Wandsworth Town BR?

I think this will indicate the catchment area a little more specifically.

Thanks for a great site and for providing such an invaluable resource.

Best

Hi Mark

Website looking great with all the changes. I guess the council offices is the most logical place to put us on the map, so that's fine. Only problem is, we are tucked right behind the Green Pledgers icon, so it's almost impossible to click on us unless you zoom right in. I wonder whether you could space us out a little bit more?!

Looking forward to some cooking next week!

Excellent stuff, many thanks. Yes, it'd be great to meet up. Where abouts are you based? I live in Sunny South East London (Peckham/East Dulwich).

Yes, I will try to get some more people involved in the PPC ProjectDirt page to get a discussion going. Sounds good!

Very cool project map! Geo-location is a very exciting area of webby tech.

Our location is pretty much correct but if I'm being pedantic then it is a little bit too far north. If it's easy to change then please could the "Peckham Power" location be shown as somewhere near to Peckham Rye rail station?

Thanks again - great work!

personal favourite so far of the ever changing homepage pictures was the sky one... though you might want to alter your reference to polar bears, unless this is some kind of project dirt in-joke?
have set up a rather skeletal facebook group for p.d., which is pictureless as well as peopleless. well, it is new.
good to meet you last night, and bring back the sunset picture! perhaps you should integrate some kind of poll or voting system>?

Hi there Dirty!
Just added two events. The same events on different days but I had to input all the info twice, rather than just adding 2 dates. Is there a way of avoiding inputting info twice?
thanks for help
