Stay & Play Volunteer Support the early years stay and play co-ordinator, helping to work with parents/carers and their children age 0-5 on Mondays 10.00-3.30pm Help create and deliver gardening, food growing and nature play activities for children and their parents/carers in the early years garden, family allotments and other areas at the project prepare, serve and clear up food with parents and children observe children, take photographs and make notes to help record and promote the outcomes of the stay and play sessions help to set up and tidy the play room and garden be involved in team meetings and other development opportunities make sure the children are safe and well at all times by understanding and putting in to practice our safeguarding policy Creche volunteer Support the early years team, helping to look after babies and young children from 9 months to 3 years on Tuesdays and Fridays 9.30-1.30pm, term time only. Help to create a safe and supportive environment for children to socialise and learn through play Help deliver activities like gardening, nature play, arts and crafts, music and cooking, reading stories or games to help develop numeracy take children on short outings to the gardens / outdoor play areas prepare, serve and clear up food provided by parents observe children, take photographs and make notes to help feedback to parents help to set up and tidy the play room and garden be involved in team meetings and other development opportunities make sure the children are safe and well at all times by understanding and putting in to practice our safeguarding policy Childcare experience would be helpful but not necessary as training is given. Volunteers will be required to have a DBS check done through us.
A one-acre organic community garden where local people can grow their own food, attend weekly food growing support sessions, participate in cultural food growing events and grow herbs and vegetables to sell to residents and use in our cafe.
