Help in removal of self set saplings and bramble, weeding, grass cutting and strimming.... general land maintenance activities as part of a friendly and committed team. Satisfaction is gained in seeing a marked improvement initially and over time. All tools and support materials are provided with coffee, biscuits and chat at the end of the session


Just a willingness to get involved and take part as and when free time allows

Strong shoes and old clothes are recommended, gloves and safety equipment provided

About the project

Improvement, Clean up and maintenance of a neglected council owned closed cemetery, this area contains in excess of 300 war graves and represents a historical record for many families in Blackburn, due to years of neglect many areas are inaccessible to many family members both able bodied and disabled.
