Hi We are growing fruit and veg and improving the look and welcome of our community centre in Pollards Hill with flowers and shrubs. We need your help! As a one-off, on your own, as a part of a team, - any and all of these. Every Thursday from 3pm we are gardening with our wonderful partners, May Project Gardens. We want YOU to join us, grow food, cook and eat food with us and discuss how to further improve our neighbourhood! Please get in touch if you are interested. You can have many skills or no skills. We even have some training lined up thanks to Groundwork London and Tesco's 'bags of help'. Training will start in the next couple of weeks and the strawberries are just starting to ripen so now is an excellent time to start. Please spread the word as all are welcome!

Please wear old clothes and strong shoes - anything that you don't mind getting muddy or grubby. We can provide gloves but bring your own if you have a favourite pair. In the sun, please put on and bring suntan protection and a shady hat, as well as water in a bottle - we can refill it for you!

About the project

Our gardening offer this year will include the chance to volunteer with us to grow, cook and eat food together, with Project May Gardens, as well as a chance to get training in horticulture from Merton Adult Education.  All this is FREE!

We are looking for people with gardening skills and those without!  We want people who can contribute just a short, regualar slot so that once we'd planted stuff we know we have a rota in place to keep things watered, fed and nurtured.

Please contact us to find out more!
