About the opportunity

All male gardening group – Come along and develop your green fingers with this fun, friendly group every Wednesday, 1.30-3pm on our growing site in King Square Gardens (just opposite St Clements Church). All men welcome! Free weekly event MAP:


No specialist knowledge or experience needed. Instruction will be given on the day.

Just a smile and some enthusiasm :-)

About the project

A community garden created out of a car park at the back of the community centre. Over 70 small raised beds are available to local people to grow their own food. Regular training events and work days are held.

Volunteering impact


Those who volunteer will receive the benefits of being with nature, and the cameraderie of working together with others. Those in the community using the Gardens will benefit from the work put in by the improved planting schemes.
