SHP provides 24/7 support to 46 men and women with on-going substance use, offending and/or mental health needs in Islington. We work with some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded people within Islington to help them address their substance use, physical health, mental health, housing and social networks needs.
We work with individuals who are in poverty, have little or no positive family support, and who struggle with issues such as homelessness and rough sleeping, alcohol and drug addiction, mental ill health, histories of offending and isolation. We aim to help them make a lasting improvement in their lives by helping them develop independent living, employability and social skills.
We give tailored one-to-one support for up to two years, linking clients to appropriate services and ensuring they have a plan in place to achieve their aspirations for recovery and a better quality of life.
