Thanks for your support in the Free Solar bid. We had over 550 people send emails and post comments.

Despite the clear public interest in our proposal, our bid was unfortunately not successful and we will not be able to offer free solar panels under this project. We didn't win this one but Lambeth Superhomes continues to look for ways to work with communities to deliver financed ‘whole house’ eco-renovation delivered by trained local tradespeople.

I will post future initiatives on my blog.

All the best

Chris

Hi Karen

Hope all is going well?

I'm one of the founders of project dirt. I've seen you've started the Eastbournes Eco Garden project which looks great - hope its all going well?

A quick message - to let you know you can now access funding directly through project dirt. As of today ... Timberland, the US boot guys - are making available £500 to 4 projects on the site. I just wanted to flag this with you in case you needed funds to help your project.

Take a look at their project page http://www.projectdirt.com/group/timberlandEK to see how to apply.

I'm here if you need a hand with anything.

cheers

Mark

Hi Karen, as you say "Love researching on internet other projects, and network." wondered if you might be interested to help out on the Sustainable Community Action Wiki ? For example share stuff to help us develop our Growing and gardening UK or South East England sections (start an article for Eastbourne?) Good place to start is our Community Portal. You can edit without signing in, but much better to sign in (similar process to PD), at least helps avoid having to see the ads. No worries if not, just thought I'd ask. Cheers, Phil

Hi Karen, sorry if I stick my nose in where not wanted, but I noticed your update on Eastbournes' Eco Gardening Group. You ask some questions there but only members of your own group can reply. Would it be an idea to ask these questions in the general discussion forum ? I'm guessing other PD groups are likely to have had some experience which they may be happy to pass on?

Hi Karen,
Thanks for joining! Feel free to add as much information about yourself as you like, and a picture! Let us know what initiatives are going on around you in East Sussex, we're very much centered around South London at the moment but looking to expand our horizons. I am helping out at Project Dirt at the moment so any questions you have, let me know.
Best wishes,
Jess
