Just a quickie to find out if any Project Dirters have anything planned for The Wave this weekend. Are you going? Let us know by posting on the Wave event page or adding a comment below.
For anyone who doesn't have the foggiest what I'm talking about, you can find all you ever wanted to know (and more) about the UK's biggest climate change march right here on Stop Climate Chaos.
This march is part of a global series of public actions, The Wave will call on world leaders to take urgent action to secure a fair international deal to stop global warming exceeding the danger threshold of 2 degrees C.
If you are planning on going then please consider adding details to the Project Dirt event page (this one!) so that anyone looking for a group to go with can get in touch.
There are loads of events going on on the day and in the lead up to Saturday. If you're free tomorrow night, why not pop along to Liverpool Street for a build-up Splash Dance followed up by some serious placard making.
Right, I'm off for a bit of Splash Dance practice!
AAh... it was great! I'm sorry I didn't get to see more of you there... although met up with three PD'ers randomly! (and probably way more) - I've blogged here

Just got back from The Wave. It was incredibly encouraging to see so many thousands of people peacefully marching to show the leaders in Copenhagen that the people DO want a climate deal and they DO want it now. Hopefully these events will push some resistant leaders over the line from resistance to action on the climate deal. Way to go everybody!
went down there for a few hours ... great crowd, fantastic turnout ... and very inspiring. lets see if it'll help - Ed M couldnt ask for much more ...

Southwark Friends of the Earth will be marching with other South East London Friends of the Earth groups to show our support and it would be amazing if as many of you South London types as possible could make it. We're meeting at 12-12.30pm at the Running Horse pub on Davies Street (just south of Bond Street tube). We then go down to the starting point at Grosvenor Square, before marching down to the Houses of Parliament for the big action at 3pm. Then retiring for a half or two to the Old Shades on Whitehall for post-match analysis...

(Donning my Transition Town Brixton hat).
Come join TTB: gather at Brixton Tube 11am with TTB banner (feel free to make and bring your own), march and network with local friends.
And prior to the Wave, Project Dirt members will be having a pre-meet for coffee and cake; or you might fancy joining the bike ride to the Wave from Tooting, or indeed join in the Climate Emergency bike ride. All on the same day! Wow.
