Hi Toni, this is Therese from Herne Hill (and tennis). At the next Herne Hill Green Drinks (Feb 24) we are going to teach people how to make plant pots from newspaper and how to plant seeds. Each person will go home with a planted tomato seed. I was wondering if FuF have a one-pager how to care for seedlings that we could use? Or you're more than welcome to come along on the night!

Thanks for your support in the Free Solar bid. We had over 550 people send emails and post comments.

Despite the clear public interest in our proposal, our bid was unfortunately not successful and we will not be able to offer free solar panels under this project. We didn't win this one but Lambeth Superhomes continues to look for ways to work with communities to deliver financed ‘whole house’ eco-renovation delivered by trained local tradespeople.

I will post future initiatives on my blog.

All the best

Chris

Saw what looked like a really useful pack at the last Food Group mtg, and wondered if you'd heard of it. It was from the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens - Community Gardens starter pack £6: http://www.farmgarden.org.uk/

Hi Toni
It'd be great if the TTB Communications group would consider getting onto Project Dirt as a main method of communications... what do you think?
Hope to see you tonight at the Balham Green Drinks if you can make it.
Nick
(PS: I've just seen your message below.. you'll generally get a stronger response to questions like this if you post the message as a "discussion topic" in the FUF project page on Project Dirt.)

I'm growing red pepper plants in pots in my conservatory which have just flowered. Does anyone know if I should put them outside so that insects can pollinate them? Will peppers grow without pollination taking place?

Hi Toni,

Thanks for signing up. Please make the most of the forum by posting questions or starting/responding to discussions. We're still getting to grips with the forum but the more of our members who sign up the more value we'll all get from it.

Seb

PS See you at the weekend. It would be great if you can look after our stuff between 1-3pm.
