- As well as a streetrep for Food up Front I am an active member of the Streatham communal garden project. At home I enjoy growing veg and salad in pots, containers and a small veg plot. I grow some veg in my conservatory. I like the social networking of FuF. I enjoy visits to allotments and gardens. I'm a member of Transition Town Brixton and am in the Buildings & Energy group.

- I used to work as a senior manager in a college so have lots of experience of people management and training in an educational context. Previously I taught French and German in schools and adult education.

Despite the clear public interest in our proposal, our bid was unfortunately not successful and we will not be able to offer free solar panels under this project. We didn't win this one but Lambeth Superhomes continues to look for ways to work with communities to deliver financed ‘whole house’ eco-renovation delivered by trained local tradespeople.
I will post future initiatives on my blog.

Saw what looked like a really useful pack at the last Food Group mtg, and wondered if you'd heard of it. It was from the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens - Community Gardens starter pack £6: http://www.farmgarden.org.uk/
It'd be great if the TTB Communications group would consider getting onto Project Dirt as a main method of communications... what do you think?
