- I am the current coordinator for the LIFE Project, (Local Initiative for Faiths and the Environment) which aims to build bridges between people of faith and ecological action on a grassroots level. The pilot is based in Lambeth and has been supported by Lambeth Council's Green Community Champions. We're building a friendly network of people who support and inspire each other. REPORT OF LIFE HANDMADE 1 EVENT, held at St Peter’s Centre for Meditation and Peace and Vauxhall City Farm, 1st December 2009
The aim of this first LIFE event was to facilitate dialogue and sharing between women from both Christian, Muslim and environmental concern backgrounds.
Approximately 25 women attended the event, 20 from Lambeth and 5 from outside the borough. They included 7 Christians and 8 Muslims. The rest were women of other faiths or no particular faith who are working for or have an interest in the environmental aspect of LIFE.
