Hi Jamie Thank you for your thoughts - although i don't think they have materially moved on from your first post. I have stressed that Project Dirt is a Green orientated site ... not a political on…

Balham Green Drinks this Thursday – and it’s not one miss

OK … so 2010 has been positively nuts (in a good way). There’s a huge amount of activity going on … and so we’re looking to do a big, all singing, dancing and embracing green drinks this Thursday. Yup – one big happy green get together for the Balham (and further afield) folks.

Sue’s on the case too. I hear… Continue

Calling all Wandsworth Residents ... There's £5,000 there in a pot waiting for your applications - which need to be in by midnight this Sunday (first deadline).

Wandsworth Council are chomping at the bit to dish out the cash to worthwhile projects. So - waste not want not ... this weekend will be the perfect time to fill out the application form on the project page. And, who knows, you could find yourself with a… Continue

New Year Resolutions - what are mine (and what are yours)?

Ok ok … time for me to stand up and be counted and “pledge” some New Year resolutions. With a new decade dawning upon us – and the lackluster performance at Copenhagen, it’s going to be the people who push things forward.

What, with almost 2,000 Dirters now on the site … it’s more important than ever that… Continue

12th November 2009

Your views needed by Wandsworth BC (18th November deadline)

The world is moving increasingly towards grass roots activity, what people think, local community groups and ad hoc projects that address neighbourhood issues. Who would know better about a problem (and the solution) than the residents… Continue

No!!! I meant private. I did it in a hurry and must have clicked on the wrong one. Any chance you can delete it and I'll start again.

My interests are varied but my main one applicable to Project Dirt is Jam making, particularly the mulberry variety. I have to date compiled a map of some thirty mulberry trees in London, and as such have access to much more fruit than I could possibly use.

My reason for first joining project dirt was to learn more about local green projects. However, after you proudly announced your relationship with Timberland, I emailed to ask to be taken off your email lists. I received no response and have continued to receive your email alerts. This evening when I received another one I logged onto your site with the intension of finding a way to disable the emails, but once there decided to voice my original discontent.

Ah, I have deleted it as far as I can, but I think you need to do something your end to remove from main page? If there is any more I can do, let me know.

Hi Mark, it's all booked up now anyway, so it can be removed.
Sorry to have been a pain!

hi Mark
Can I be added to the admin group here please? Still trying to get the Thames21 numbers / contacts up a bit here! Any ideas how I can spread the word a bit more?
cheers

hi Mark
Actually it was Wandle Trust that led me to this site! We do have links with them of course but yes they tend to concentrate more on their river.

I tried taking out the space but it still doesn't show up. And officially we don't have a space in the name so we'd prefer not to do that if possible. Any other ideas? cheers

And yes if we can be featured somewhere noticable to get the numbers up that would be great - thanks

hi Mark
Thanks yes I just came across the site yesterday and thought it would be worth Thames21 joining. Obviously we'd like to reach out to anyone on here who isn't yet aware of what we do and then direct them towards the main website. I will also put our public events on the calendar here so that anyone looking foe something to do on a specific day can find us that way.

Any tips on how we might find similar or relevant people please? I did a earch for river and Thames but not much came up.

On a similar theme - a search for "Thames" - for some reason I couldn't get our profiile to show up - any ideas on that one?! cheers

Thanks for your support in the Free Solar bid. We had over 550 people send emails and post comments.

Despite the clear public interest in our proposal, our bid was unfortunately not successful and we will not be able to offer free solar panels under this project. We didn't win this one but Lambeth Superhomes continues to look for ways to work with communities to deliver financed ‘whole house’ eco-renovation delivered by trained local tradespeople.

I will post future initiatives on my blog.

All the best

Mate - the calendar isn't working - I've just added Balham Green Drinks, on Dec 3rd (here) and it's not showing on the calendar.
Nor are some other events.
