I am currently coordinating a community mapping project aimed at developing a web-based map for communities across East London which they can use to express local issues surrounding sustainability. www.communitymaps.org.uk
I run a small business selling organic gardening supplies in order to encourage people to grow their own produce within urban environments. www.sprout.org
I set up a women's cooperative with communities in Southern Africa, Uganda and Kenya to increase the capacity of women to benefit from the continued practice of indigenous craft design and production.
Community engagement, GIS, environmental surveys and species identification, molecular analysis and financial administration
Spent several years working throughout the Caribbean on an EU funded programme focused on community based initiatives, nature and heritage tourism, environmental education and the conservation of island ecosystems.

we met outside the pub after the LLCCN event back in November and had a cigarette together I was very impressed with your noise mapping.
Our islington Green mapping has to date found 110 groups and have yet to put into the council system. Seems like a lot of us are up to the same stuff!
I have an event on tuesday 23rd march in Islington which will take some time to look at relationships with councils, green mapping and a looksee at project dirt for those north of the river who have not seen it before. The head of the Energy Savings Trust London area will be there and so will Becky Luff (on PD) who is doing the environmental wiki.
So could get a few mappers off to the pub afterwards to see what synergies are there and what resources are available.
Hi,
Do you have recommendations about Public Liability Insurance?....I paid £180 last season ( covering around 30 growers, chidren and up to three special events a year), but due to the forthcoming extra strands of work in the pipeline this may go up. My current company is Tennyson. Thanks
Hi Nick, I've just checked my website (Sprout) and for some reason it doesn't appear to be showing our site - it's someones blog!! I'll have to investigate. I received the invite thanks.
Hi Louise - just coming with the website update... in the meantime, I think you need to change the URL of Sprout??? (to add uk at the end)
hope you're well
Nick
