Hi Henry,

I just noticed from your wall post that you say you don't normally give to established charities.. Catalyst hasnt yet set up charitable status, and we are having a meeting this Sunday to discuss the future of catalyst. Has there been any developments your end?

Kind regards,

Charlie

Hi Henry,

This is very exciting! We would happily choose young people from disadvantaged inner city backgrounds to attend the course. Having spoken to Johannes, who is the guy who set up Catalyst, the course would benefit if we could mix these young people with other young people (not necessarily from disadvantaged backgrounds) in the same programme. In our experience the more varied the participants, the richer the outcome.

I hope to hear back from you soon.

You can contact me on 07595373682 or 01200 424162 if you wish to discuss things on the phone.

Best wishes,

Charlie

Hi Henry,

thankyou for getting back to me. Catalyst is a five day experiential residential programme that takes place at a place called Embercombe in south devon. We currently operate 2 courses per year for 18-25 year olds that want to make a difference in the world but are unsure what is the next step.. They go through a process which better equips them to be effective agents for change. We have run 3 courses so far with the next one coming up in July. We want to get to a stage where we can run 4 courses per year benefiting approximately 150 young people over the course of the year. At the moment the cost for the five days is £225 which obviously is prohibitive for a lot of monetarily impoverished students and young people! We would use the money to subsidise people who could not afford to go on the programme. Shall I fill out an application form? I can also fill you in on the finer details of the course if you wish..

Hi Henry,

I have just seen this funding opportunity, but realise I am just past the June deadline.. Could I still apply for the June deadline or would I have to wait for October. This funding would be for the Catalyst programme which is a personal development course which enables 18-25 years olds become effective agents for change.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Many thanks,

Charlie

Hello Henry,

I just got your message about leadership funding.

I am currently working with residents on local Hackney council estates to reclaim disused land for food growing - does that sound like a suitable project?

I currently have NHS funding this year and am trying to get together funds to continue the work next year.

Here is an example of one of the space I am working on - http://www.projectdirt.com/group/somerfordgrove

Best wishes

Robin :-)

Hello Henry. I would like to transform train stations in the Kingston borough into fruit growing areas. To enhance the view for commuters and make better use of the space. Other members of Transition Town Kingston will help, I am sure to both plant and look after our stations in future. Is this a project the Foundation might be likely to consider funding?

Best wishes,

Anna Kwilecka
