hello!

Profile Information

About Me:
Currently working towards a PhD at King's College London, focused on exploring the range of third sector approaches to sustainable consumption in the UK and the role that networks play in this. This has brought me into contact with a lot of exciting groups and people, and is how I found out about this excellent site!
Key Interests
Conservation, Recycling, Composting, Carbon Reduction, Wildlife, Gardening
Experience/Skills
Very fond of the outdoors, reasonable at plant ID some of the time, keen to discover how green my fingers are (but no garden or allotment to play with, only windowsills). Know stuff about energy efficiency, fond of making stuff and finding other stuff for free.

Hi Emma

Hope all is going well?

A quick message - to let you know you can now access funding directly through project dirt.

As of today ... Timberland, the US boot guys - are making available £500 to 4 projects on the site. I just wanted to flag this with you in case you needed funds to help your Peckham Crag.

Take a look at their project page http://www.projectdirt.com/group/timberlandEK to see how to apply.

I'm here if you need a hand with anything.

cheers

Mark

Hi ,
I’m volunteering with Project Dirt at the moment. I wanted to chase people up on the Administrator’s Meeting on 10th March which is going to be really integral to the future of PD and a chance for everyone to meet. If you could let Nick, Mark or I know if you can make it that would be great. Click here to reply. Hopefully see you there!
Best wishes,
Jess

Hi Emma
I've just picked up your question on attaching an event to a project. Sadly it's not yet possible (but is something we're planning with the next stage of the website build). The best you can do in the interim is write the title of the event in your project's page, and then add a "hyperlink" to the event's URL. Does that make sense?
All the best - are you coming to Balham Green Drinks on Thursday 5th Feb?

hi Emma,

Great idea! sorry I didn't get back to you the first time on this...I don't think I knew that you'd left a comment! I'll send you a logo soon, and I'll give some thought to clarifying subsequent dates and venues so that we don't have a repeat of last month!
hope you're well and the thesis is coming along ok,
Zaria, x

Absolutely, please do come along on the 22nd! It'll be great to see you there. I have attempted to grow a few bits of food over the summer. I succeeded in getting a tonne of greenery but very little in the way of edible produce! I think we started planting way too late in the year and so the poor plants got a bit confused. Having said that, we did get some nice tomatoes and some decent salad leaves. The butternut squash plants produced massive amounts of greenery but only 1 butternut squash (which is mostly rotten!) We'll try harder in 2009!

Hi Emma!

Gosh, small world! I'm not sure if you'll remember me but we met at the Peckham Green Fayre in September - I was running the "Peckham Power" stall next to your CRAG stall! Really good to find you here on Project Dirt!

Hopefully see you around,
Thanks,
Jack

I would invite you to be my friend but can't work out how to do that. Maybe they've taken the option away. Or maybe YOU'VE taken the option away?!
