yes, indeed pretty sure yours will be ready (being the winter wheat unlike what Ann has at Roots and Shoots). But not really a lot to do other than cut it down near base and then store away till Feast on the Bridge on September 11th when you can get it threshed. You can use something like wallpaper scissors. Would be good to do before it rains again heavily (Friday?) - maybe I'll have a spare moment to help but am really over run with other things to do. Suggest an evening?

Hi Charles

Cathy has the photo of us with James Wong. She is on Facebook. I'm waiting to hear from her. In the meantime, I'll forward you her e-mail address separately so that you can contact her directly.

Please forget about the cost of the veggie sandwich! It was a pleasure working alongside such committed volunteers like yourself and all the others on the LCRN Reuse Team.

Hi Charlie, most wheat also doing well on my allotments pics here. Spring wheat from John Innes Centre small grain cereals gene bank also doing well. One particular winter plant I have been measuring put on 8.5" up to last Thursday when the hot weather happened, but only 3" week before, however 6" each of the preceding 3 weeks. Now its 55.5" high and at Feekes scale Boot stage 10.1 see here

Hello Charles

Our very helpful Project Dirt hosts have made a few suggestions in order to get your great contribution on the best page so that more can see it and get involved in the discussion.
So the suggestion is to add your contribution as a discussion on The Onion Shed project page: http://www.projectdirt.com/group/theonionshed .

If you put Unloved places: xxxxxxxx ( where it is ) then folk will be able to follow the link.

Hope that is ok, just give us a shout if you need help . It is all a learning curve for us all, but worth it !

Agenda to follow for Thursday next session. Hope to meet you there and of course bring some friends, all welcome.
