I live in a new area of Exeter & set up Community Arts Newcourt, part of Newcourt Community Association in March 2016.Community Arts Newcourt CAN) is an arts group for Newcourt residents to share ideas, to provide sustainable art and skills.We are planning to have long & short term projects:-1.A big project making a fabric collage based on the history of Newcourt, & composed of sections made by individuals & different groups here. This would be led by a community artist, & necessitate further funding.2. A time-line of Newcourt, from the earliest record. Research from the Devon Heritage Centre about Newcourt has produced a timeline of old maps, prints & photos now displayed in the community centre.3.Subsidised Street Dancing sessions for children aged from 4 to 15 have been running since summer 2016.4.Design posters for station platform, telling the history of Newcourt. Original artwork by a local resident has already been done & will be used for this.5.From the 26th January 2018, there will be a monthly drop in evening on the last Friday of the month anytime from 7-9pm at the community centre. We want:- to get ideas what to include in the collage that ...
