Making environmental change happen

If yer life is really warmed by growing org veg as often as you can at home, for any of the outstanding reasons therein, invite you to thynQ about joining a meet up in Brixton to chat about what we grow, how thynGz change season changes, choices of food grown, plans for next year and so on...so much to talk about and all permicultural stuff therein too.

Any feedback would be Qool.
I am Nicholas. I live on Helix Road in Brixton.
I live with 4 others, but I'm the only one who grows food and takes it seriously, so I am reaching out to those who are completely enthuiastic about "growing" an organic community of veg growers all about home growing in London...

WORD UP!

I look forward to your responses...

Nicholas...

You live quite close to John Yates in Josephine Ave. I think he shares the same interest in food growing and at one stage was offering his garden for some kind of communal growing activity. I'll see if I can find his contact details for you. I live in Norwood and have been active with others on a communal garden project in Streatham. We're all members of Food up Front (www.foodupfront.org) which is an urban food growing network in Lambeth, Southwark & Wandsworth. Transition Town Brixton Food Group is something you should definitely join if you haven't already. The next "Green Drinks" will be at the Trinity Arms in Trinity Gdns on Weds 16 Dec from 7pm onwards.

you might catch Ducan for a chat about wormery worms!! (he may even offer you a free lot of wriggley friends) and advice on how to start your own. I am there this friday morning until 1.30 if you want to talk growing or help out with TTB Foodies stuff.
Cheers

Hey Nicholas,

I'm near loughborough junction and am settling in for my first serious attempt at growing food. Am new to this site but is there a swops/trade section, ie, 'I have loads of seed potatoes but am in need of some compost' type affair? I would be really into that. Am more into taste than organic as an ideal but they obviously compliment each other plenty.

Mike
