This is the year for plums. There are yellow plums on east hill; there is practically an orchard on the edge of the solid waste transfer site on smugglers way. the yellow plums and orangey ones are sweet the purple ones and the red ones would benefit from a little cooking.
The brambles around the place where the wandle joins the thames are starting to ripen and I noticed a heavily laden apple tree ripening up near there also. There are grapes not yet ripe hanging over a wall in tours passage, just north of the railway line out of clapham junction.
