Afternoon all!

I would like to invite you to the next meeting of Transition Town Wandsworth, on 23rd November at 7pm. As we are going to agree working groups on different Transition topics, it is important that everyone attends.

The main aims of the meeting are to:

- To discuss creating working groups, e.g. Energy, Food and Transport, based on people's interests and what they can feel they can contribute
- To agree the next steps towards our Community Garden
- To agree a public meeting for January 2010, to engage a wider audience in TT Wandsworth

Please consider which working group you might like to lead or support, and what skills you have to offer. Don't worry if you're not sure - there will be many opportunities to change groups or to get involved in everything!

Meeting will probably be held at the Battersea Arts Centre, or the Alma - TBC (please email preferences).

The minutes of our recent Initiating Group meeting are going to be uploaded imminently onto our Project Dirt webpage for your information.

Look forward to seeing you all!

Hi, I will be moving soon and so have had to cull my bookshelves!! I have over 200 books that i no longer want piled up in my hall and would welcome any one who wants to come and collect some or all of them. An eclectic mix of novels and non fiction. I am in Queenstown road and would suggest that you call me on 07552381183 to check that i am in before popping over. Any books that are not collected will be donated to local charity shops.
Thanks
Jane

Dan

I can't edit the details above, but perhaps you can add the following books which people might be interested in borrowing from me include:

Half Gone - Jeremy Leggett
The Upside of Down - Thomas Homer-Dixon
Silent Spring - Rachel Carson
The Weather Makers - Tim Flannery (once I've finished reading it myself)
In Defence of Food - Michael Pollan
The Hot Topic - Gabrielle Walker and Sir David King
How We Can Save The Planet - Mayer Hillman
The Revenge of Gaia - James Lovelock
Shopped - Joanna Blythman
Fast Food Nation - Eric Schlosser
Not Buying It - Judith Levine

I've also got a copy of the Transition Town Handbook and The Rough Guide to Climate Change, both of which I regularly use as reference books, book I could lend on a very short-term loan basis.

Finally I have a copy of the DVD, The Power of Community, although it is out on loan at the moment...

Hey Mark

A seperate page for our TT groups sounds like a really good plan. Structurally you could organise the front page as a map of London, or a London Brough, with the opportunity to click through to different project pages....perhaps??
