Hi Ann. I got my bag of clay (though I went for Devon clay) from PotClays.co.uk

Hope you saw Mars too, hanging out up there close to the moon .
Site suggestions are brilliant , and Maggi's hollyhocks in Zurich are phenomenal. Sharing the inspiration with fellow Onion Shedders. Thanks

Hi Ann
I'd suggest hollyhocks, for seed bombing from now or in March. They are tough, drought resistant, spectacular, bee friendly and will self seed. They may not flower in the first year, but it's worth the wait. Inspiration from here: http://tinyurl.com/ygsx9z9
In terms of must see sites on your tour: Westminster Bridge Road junction with St George's Road ('the London Lavender fields'), St George's Circus, the island at Stamford Street and Blackfriars, patches on the north roundabout of the Elephant & Castle (anything that's got a flower) and of course beneath Perronet House and the patch you helped with in Steadman Street. All the best for March, I'm with guerrilla gardeners in Munich that day, and should suggest something seasonal. Talking of which, it's a full moon tonight,

Hello Richard
How effective are seed bombs in March?
Onion Shed are sorting out a cycle tour of local growing spots
around the spring equinox 21st March and would be good to seed bomb along the way.

Also let me know of any must-see growing sites

best
Ann

The Perronet House 'front garden' scooped a Silver Gilt Award in Southwark In Bloom this weekend, despite the fact that Margaret O'Brien, Southwark Council's Head of Housing requested I suspended my gardening activities there in April. I ignored such a silly command of course, and was glad the mayor seemed to think the illegality was an unimportant distraction from being presented with a plaque and a £15 gardening voucher! A seasonal victory I think.

(And though it's not quite Elephant & Castle, it's not far off!)

Cool, perhaps I can tempt everyone back towards my estate and get some ideas for sorting it out!!

It turns out I've got a couple of student film makers coming along, I realise I perhaps should have said that earlier, but they shouldn't get in the way and needn't film you if you'd rather be more undercover. I've met both before (Rachel and Greg) and they are both charming.

Yes the one with the shiny building thing. We'll start there, do a little at the close end of New Kent Road, then head south via Steedman Street and onwards. There are lots of pedestrian crossings and subways that enable one to meet on the middle, although I think many people passing by assuming it's an isolated island!
