Great news - may the planting and growing live on!
It must have been the extra strong cider that made me exaggerate the number of beds from 26 to 27 - woops!
Keep us posted as to your developments on the site and look forward to you coming to see us again very soon and making sure you visit the lotty this time!

ps I rekon this is a good place to say that thanks to RU Outdoors allotment creating has come up north and we have dug our own strip of allotment land in the lawn by the side of the church. At the moment we are busying ourselves with christmassey things and letting the frost break up the soil but are looking forward to planting in the new year...

Sorry that things have been so quiet on the networking front but they have been happening on site....
We now have 26 beds, most of them very active with a wonderful array of things happening in them - broccoli, sprouts (ready for Xmas!), garlic, beans, onions, red cabbage and some brave lettuce still going strong.....
The allotment society is going well - we have over 100 members and are persauding them to join this site too....! Simon has led some great workshops on introduction to the allotment to help folk get started and we have some really exciting new projects in the pipe line for the spring one of which involves the local Youth Inclusion Programme with some 13-17 year olds from our local community.... lots happening!
Please do write in and get involved!

WE HAVE A SHED!!!
Wonderful Brendon and his colleague built it for us and it looks fantastic, in fact I'm thinking I might move in if the rent goes up anymore at home!
Big thanks to them and team at R'ton for sorting this for us, will make a huge difference and a safe and dry home for us and ours....
Do come and see it!

I'm pleased to report that we have our first alumni bed being planned and hopefully dug in the near future by Laura - great and we will really look forward to the nursery and Sunday school involvement too - and then all the new first years and Emily's excellent idea of a geography bed!
Keep the ideas coming!

Great news, have just met Lindsey my organic friend who will be helping with the Sunday School. She, Elaine and Roehampton Church School are looking to sign up with Project Dirt. They have their own roof garden and would really like to make links with RU. Only one problem the school filtering system kept coming up - perhaps school systems don't like the word 'dirt'??

Nick it would be great to see you at the party and indeed all Project Dirt people will be most welcome. We're planning the evening at the moment but will post full details here as soon as we can. Try and keep the evening of Monday October 5th free in your diary!
