Sat 28/11 saw the first DIG IT gardening club stall at St Pauls school. The stall designed to look like a magical woodland decorated with painted fallen branches and homemade tree baubles inspired by nature - school grown herb sachets, baked orange slices, pinecombs and decorated conkers, was a wonderful addtion to this community fair. All the green tomato chutneys made by the kids from school grown tomatoes, sold out. All in all, there was much to relish

Just announced, The 'Dig it!' school gardening club at St Pauls school, NW3 won a Camden in Bloom award for 'most sustained engagement of children.' This award as really inspired as it has been great to watch children really getting into the whole diggin thing and happily eating the veg that they've grown. On the last day of term we handed out egg cartons full of potatoes to all the parents in school, it was a really lovely experience.

If there are any schools in Camden who would like to come round and pay our site a visit, we would love to see you. Lots of info to share, fun to be had.

My 8 year old son ate the first lettuce leaf of his life last night - and it was grown in our kitchen garden. Lettuce all be friends!

We all sampled our first salad leaves tonight...dug up our first onion and new potato. The rocket leaves were so mustardy...and had real flavour. Wow! So that's what salad should taste like!

Hello Debbie,

Welcome to the Capital Growth projects; I am a volunteer for Capital Growth and I would like to join and visit your project and ask you some information that I need for statistical and production purposes.

Thank you very much,

Yours,

Oscar
